the week ahead, special rivalry week edition:
+first, of course, read joe lunardi's bracket banter from last friday. [new bracketology and coaches' poll - will florida rise to the top? - later this evening.]
+big monday's pretty big tonight: georgetown at syracuse (love the way those orangemen are playing) followed by missouri at kansas (quinn's boys have looked better - this could be a blowout).
+you only need to know about one game tomorrow night, which could be (we'll know in a couple of hours) a matchup between two top-5 teams on hella rolls. of course, it's florida at kentucky.
+wednesday's packed with flavor: major contests in c-usa (struggling cincy at surging louisville), the acc (nc at duke, not what it used to be, but still [hopefully] entertaining - and how about the fact that the dukies will likely slip out of the top 5 in tonight's new rankings?!), the sec (ole miss at auburn - who's got the juice?), the big ten (wisconsin at conference leader purdue - who thought this'd be a major tilt even a month ago?), and the wcc for a nightcap ('zags at pepperdine - still the conference's marquee matchup).
+thursday features nc state at wake forest (who's got the juice, acc division?) and virginia at maryland (wrong time for cavs to be visiting the red-hot terps - the road to the conference title still goes through college park).
+a look to the weekend will come, of course, on thursday or friday. sorry about last week's momentary absence; like I said, I was kind of on a break. and you survived, so good on yer!
