well, the hoped-for game of the year really wasn't one. and not only do the duke women apparently not want to be #1, neither do the men of pittsburgh - for the second time this season. 'zona won, but of course they won't be top-ranked after their loss to stanford earlier in the week. that leaves texas, who stopped oklahoma state's 15-game win streak, to ascend to the throne. and while they won't be ranked #1, how good does louisville look these days? and how not-so-good looking are the hoosiers, losers of three in a row?
speaking of the big 10, after michigan lost to minnesota (and illinois had the day off), look who's atop the conference standings: it's those pesky boilermakers, 6-1 (14-4 overall) after an 80-77 ot win at iowa.
