Oh, Manchester, So Much To Answer For

Still one of the most triumphant, transcendent rock ballads ever. As epic as it wants to be and all the better for it. (And yes, I'm one of those planning on buying Chinese Democracy on its day of release, whenever that might be.)

I know that BBC Radio 2 is ostensibly an Adult Contemporary sort of station, but that's a vastly different "format" in the UK than in the US, apparently. Seeing as how at this moment, which is during afternoon drivetime (circa 5:20pm) in the UK, I'm listening to Stuart Maconie spin "French Kissin' in the USA" by Debbie Harry. The word, I believe, is gobsmacked.

Addendum: this might well be my lamest post ever.
